As part of its Far Eastern tour, the orchestra performed on 2 and 3 April 2026 at the National Concert Hall, located in Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Park, one of Taipei’s most iconic landmarks. The opening night featured Sergei Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges Suite and his Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major, as well as Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E-minor, with soloist Amira Abouzahra. The second concert presented Prokofiev’s Cinderella Suite and Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 in D-major.
Following last year’s highly popular tour by the Hungarian State Opera and the Hungarian National Ballet, the Budapest Festival Orchestra once again brought Hungarian culture closer to Taiwanese audiences through a series of exceptional performances.
