Visa Waiver for Taiwanese passport holders / 持台灣護照者免簽證
On January 11, 2011, Taiwan's application for visa-free treatment in the Schengen Area came into force. From January 11, 2011, the Taiwan passport is valid for short-term business and travel visa-free treatment in the Schengen area. Hungary belongs to the Schengen Area.
Taiwanese passport holders do not need to apply for Schengen visa (so-called "type C" visa) when entering Hungary or any other member state of the Schengen Area.
The visa exemption applies to all ordinary Taiwanese passports which contain the identity card number of the holder. The passport needs to have been issued within the previous 10 years and needs to be valid at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from the territory of Member States.
2011年1月11日，台灣適用申根區域免簽證待遇正式生效 (2010.12.27) 2011年1月11日起，台灣護照適用申根區域短期商務、旅遊免簽證待遇正式生效，匈牙利即屬於申根區域。免簽證適用於六個月內申根區域最長停留90天，台灣護照內註明身分證字號，且效期至少具有欲停留時間再加三個月。相關規定，請詳閱簽證須知頁面。
