The first shipment of Hungarian beer has arrived to Taiwan, and local customers can purchase Pécsi Brewery’s quality beers in Carrefour supermarkets throughout the island.
Pécsi is an independent brewery with a history of 170 years of uninterrupted operation and its lagers are among Hungary’s most popular beers. The brewery is located in the southwestern part of Hungary, where excellent water quality has contributed to beer production since the 14th century.
Dániel Lőrincz, Representative of the Hungarian Trade Office in Taipei said: "I believe this is great news for beer lovers in Taiwan. Hungary is proud of its agricultural traditions, and over the past few years, we have been working very hard to promote quality Hungarian food products and spirits here in Taiwan.
The well-known Hungarian wines are already widely available throughout the island, and so is pálinka, our traditional brandy made of fruits. Now, we can proudly announce the arrival of Hungarian beers to Taiwan, marking the first time that Hungarian beers have gained access to the local market. We are delighted to provide local consumers in Taiwan with new choices, while we are gently reminding everyone to enjoy alcoholic products responsibly”.
